Whether you’re hoping to start or finding it hard to keep coming, you can ask us privately about support with class costs.
A little support to keep dancing.
We’re welcoming enquiries for a small Community Access pilot for new and existing students who can’t currently afford regular classes. You don’t need previous dance experience.
Tell us briefly what support would help and when you could attend. No detailed hardship story needed.
Places are limited. We’ll review your request and confirm what support we can offer.

What to expect.
- A simple enquiry. Your name, what support would help, and when you could attend.
- A clear offer. If a place is available, we’ll agree the cost, number of classes and support period before you decide.
- No automatic paid renewal. Any extension is discussed with you first. If attending becomes difficult, just let us know.
Please don’t send bank statements, identity documents or medical records.

A few questions.
Can I ask if I already dance at HIT?
Yes. You can enquire if cost is stopping you from starting or making it difficult to continue. Sending an enquiry does not change or cancel an existing membership. Use the membership-management form for changes to your current membership.
Do I need to be a student or receive a benefit?
No. This is about whether regular class prices are currently beyond what you can afford, rather than a particular job, study status or dance level.
How are requests reviewed?
We consider what support would help and the class places and funding available. We may ask a short follow-up question. You don’t need to prove your dance ability or share a detailed personal story.
Is this a government-funded programme?
No government funding has been confirmed for this pilot. Availability will depend on the support HIT can arrange.
What if no places are available?
We’ll let you know. Please wait for us to confirm a supported place before booking on that basis.
